NPAW 2022 (November 6-12, 2022)

The National Pain Awareness Week campaign brings together leaders in pain advocacy, research, and health care, to join people with pain and their families in supporting the recommendations in An Action Plan for Pain in Canada. The 2022 campaign engaged people and organizations across Canada to create dialogue and draw attention to chronic pain.

Putting the Pieces Together

Designed by people with living with pain for people living with pain, Pain Canada hosted its inaugural Putting the Pieces Together conference during National Pain Awareness Week. The virtual conference was free to attend, with topics including: describing your pain to clinicians, understanding pain as an intersectional disability justice issue, a conversation about chronic pain and equity, building authentic disability and chronic illness communities, and more. Recordings are available to view online.
